Mountain honey is harvested up to 1200 meters above sea level. Above this altitude the designation is “high mountain”.
The flowering of the small flowers that characterize mountain honey takes place during a short but intense period, from the end of June to mid-July. The honey is harvested towards the end of July.
There are: Sainfoin, Vesse, Linden, Raspberry, Marjoram, Bramble, Chestnut, Heather, Clover, Dandelion. It is a honey of character.
