Both buckwheat honey and clover honey originate from the North American continent. In France it has become over time a raw honey and its image has been associated with that of Brittany which was for a long time the main place of harvest.
Its original flavors make it a honey of character. On the nose, the jar as soon as it is opened lets the smells of the farm of our childhood diffuse. On the palate, notes of liquorice and toasted cereals take over. Its dark brown color tends towards red and its texture is dense and creamy.
Buckwheat flowers in summer, from July to September. It appreciates warmth and humidity and produces small, very honey-bearing white flowers. This French Buckwheat honey with a strong personality is increasingly sought after and appreciated. A great discovery!
