Cuba Honey

Cuba is one of the few countries in the world that practices organic agriculture without the use of pesticides. This reasoned agriculture was forced by the embargo that Cuba suffered following the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991.

Cuban honey, of rare quality, has been a commercial success story for the country since the normalisation of diplomatic and trade relations with the United States. Pesticide-free honey is Cuba's fourth largest source of income after sugar cane, cigars and rum. Harvests are abundant thanks to the vitality of Cuban bees, which live in a rich and clean biotope.
