Miel Factory invites you to savor its linden honey; Harvest in Burgundy, France, this honey is a staple among French honeys.

Lime trees are emblematic illustrations of our country's biodiversity. These majestic trees often are several centuries old. As these trees generally bloom in late Spring, this honey is commonly collected in late July. Its flowers are known for their soothing virtues. They are often used in naturopathy to attenuate migraines and stomach pains.

This pale yellow honey has a captivating aroma. Its taste, both powerful and pleasant with both menthol and balsamic notes echoes the smell of the tree’s flowers. With a fine granulation and slow crystallization, this honey is ideal for infusions or simply to spread upon toast.

Donuts with linden honey

For 6 people

Ingredients

  • A quarter of a liter of water
  • 125 g flour
  • 70 g of butter
  • Three eggs
  • A few tablespoons of honey
  • A teaspoon of rapadura
  • A pinch of salt
  • A packet of yeast
  • A tablespoon of orange blossom water
  • Frying/vegetable oil

Preparation

Sift the flour. Add the yeast to the flour and carefully blend the two together. Pour the water, the butter, sugar and salt in a saucepan. Melt the butter and stir the ingredients together. Once the butter has melted, add the flour to the mixture. Stir until you obtain a homogeneous ball that no longer sticks to the bottom or sides of the pan. Remove from the fire. Let cool a little. Using an icecream scooper place balls of the mixture into the hot fryer. Remove when the donut balls are golden
